Christian Death is an American gothic rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1979, widely regarded as pioneers of the deathrock genre. Led for decades by vocalist Rozz Williams and later Valor Kand, the band blends dark, theatrical rock with post-punk influences. Their 1982 debut album "Only Theatre of Pain" is considered a landmark of the genre.
