Daniel Yergin is an American author, economic historian, and energy expert. He won the Pulitzer Prize for his landmark book "The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money & Power" (1991), a sweeping history of the global oil industry. Yergin is also vice chairman of S&P Global and a widely cited commentator on energy policy and geopolitics.
