Geoff Tate is an American rock vocalist best known as the original lead singer of progressive metal band Queensrÿche. He fronted the group from 1982 through 2012 and is celebrated for his powerful tenor range. His solo project Operation: Mindcrime revisits the classic 1988 Queensrÿche concept album of the same name.
