Desert Night Race Series
Join a monthly 5K race series under the stars at Arizona Falls, where runners bring headlamps and party lights to collect desert-themed medals across three events through October.
Phoenix
Arizona Falls is a free public park and working hydroelectric plant on the Arizona Canal in Phoenix's Arcadia neighborhood. The 20-foot waterfall was created during canal construction in 1883; Phoenix's first hydroelectric plant was built here in 1902, shut down in 1950, and restored in 2003. Visitors can cross a pedestrian footbridge to a viewing platform, walk canal-side trails, and view public art with poetry by Arizona's first poet laureate sandblasted into the concrete.
