Buffalo Park is a city-owned open-space park on the flat top of McMillan Mesa, an ancient lava flow in Flagstaff. It features the popular 2-mile Nate Avery Trail loop through native grassland and ponderosa pine forest, with panoramic views of the San Francisco Peaks and Mount Elden. Once a private wildlife park, it now hosts outdoor events, guided nature walks, trail running, and wildlife viewing.
