Wayne Newton began performing alongside his older brother Jerry as a child, and the two eventually made their way to Las Vegas, where they performed six shows a night, six nights a week. Over the following decades, Newton logged over 30,000 live shows and at one point became Las Vegas' highest-paid performer — a career that also earned him a road named in his honor at the city's international airport.
