Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock met on May 12, 1975 — the first day of rehearsals for "Jesus Christ Superstar" in Sydney, Australia. A shared love of The Beatles and singing quickly bonded them, and Air Supply was born.

The duo went on to score seven consecutive top-five singles, matching The Beatles' run at the time. Their albums — Lost in Love, The One That You Love, Now & Forever, and The Greatest Hits — sold over 20 million copies combined. "Lost in Love" was named Song of the Year in 1980, and together with their other singles, the group moved more than 10 million copies.

Songs including "Lost in Love," "All Out of Love," "The One That You Love," "Sweet Dreams," and "Making Love Out of Nothing at All" have each accumulated multi-million radio plays. Russell Hitchcock's soaring tenor voice paired with Graham Russell's songwriting became the signature sound known as Air Supply.
