EPIC Lab: Middle School Fast & Curious – Build, Test, Race! (Ages 11 to 14 years)

EPIC Lab: Fast & Curious is a hands-on engineering session for middle schoolers (ages 11–14) held at the William Pennington Engineering Building, Room 240, in Reno.

Participants will design, build, and test their own mini vehicles from scratch, applying the engineering design process to explore the science of speed. The session emphasizes smart design, teamwork, and iteration — refining vehicles based on test results before racing them.

The program is hosted by the College of Engineering and offers students a direct experience of engineering practice through a project-based format.
