The Wizard of Oz at Sphere
Sphere, Las Vegas
The Wizard of Oz at Sphere is a fully immersive reimagining of the beloved 1939 classic, presented by Sphere Entertainment Co. in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, Google, and Magnopus. The experience opened on August 28, 2025, and runs daily with multiple showtimes (typically 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 8:00 PM). The original film, shot in 4:3 format, has been AI-enhanced and expanded to fill Sphere's 160,000-square-foot interior LED display in 16K resolution, wrapping entirely around the audience. Sphere's 167,000 programmable speakers and pioneering infrasound haptic seat technology — a first for any entertainment venue — allow audiences to literally feel sound through their seats, including eerie tones in the haunted forest and the rumble of the tornado. Environmental effects include wind, custom scents (such as poppies in bloom), mist, and atmospheric simulations. The film runs approximately 75 minutes. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to explore the interactive Atrium, which features holographic art installations and Aura the Robot™. Outside the venue, a free installation of the Wicked Witch of the East's 50-foot legs with 22-foot ruby slippers is on display. Ticket options include Standard and VIP ("Good Witch" or "Bad Witch") experiences; VIP includes access to a private lounge and a dedicated merchandise stand. Groups of 9 or more receive special pricing. Late seating is not permitted; doors open 45 minutes before showtime. Tickets are non-refundable. There is a limit of 8 tickets per transaction and 25 tickets per purchaser per calendar year. Parking is available at The Venetian Resort guest garages and Sphere at The Venetian.
