Mac King
Thunderland Showroom at Excalibur, Las Vegas
Mac King is a comedy magician performing 70-minute shows at the Thunderland Showroom at Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Acclaimed by MAGIC Magazine as the #1 comedy magician in the world today, Mac has been named "Magician of the Year" by the Magic Castle in Hollywood, broken a Guinness World Record, appeared on seven TV specials for NBC-TV, and been inducted into the Las Vegas Hall of Fame at UNLV. He has made three appearances on "Penn & Teller's Fool Us," where Penn and Teller called him "The greatest comedy magician at least alive today, and maybe who ever lived." His act includes casting a fishing line over the audience to catch a live goldfish from mid-air, stunts with his pet guinea pig "Colonel Sanders," sleight-of-hand, shadow puppets, making his head disappear in a paper bag, and rendering himself invisible — all played for laughs. Selected audience members are invited on stage throughout the show, and because of his quick wit and extensive audience interaction, no two shows are exactly alike. Beginning in January 2000, Mac King has performed nearly 10,000 shows to more than two million fans, making this almost certainly the longest-running one-man show in the history of Las Vegas. The show is family-friendly; children must be at least 5 years old to attend, and guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Backpacks and luggage are prohibited, all bags may be searched, and photography and recording are restricted during the performance.
