Sarofim Hall is the flagship 2,650-seat theater inside the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, located in downtown Houston's Theater District. Opened in 2002 and designed by Robert A.M. Stern, it was built specifically for touring Broadway productions and is home to Theatre Under the Stars. The hall features ornate gold-leaf columns, midnight-blue walls, and the Joe and Lee Jamail Celestial Dome Ceiling with fiber optic stars replicating the Texas night sky.
