Josh Thomas: Jiggle, Jiggle
StandUpLive Phoenix, Phoenix
Josh Thomas first came to prominence as the youngest-ever winner of Raw Comedy, the national competition produced by the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Just two years later, still in his teens, he received a Melbourne Comedy Festival nomination for Best Show.
He is best known for writing, acting in, and co-executive producing Please Like Me, a television series inspired by his own life. The show aired on Pivot and Hulu in the US, the ABC in Australia, and Netflix elsewhere. It earned Thomas awards from the Australian Academy (AACTA) and the Australian Writers Guild for writing, along with AACTA and Logie Award nominations for performance. The show itself won Best Comedy at the AACTA Awards and Most Outstanding Comedy at the Logie Awards, and received nominations at the International Emmy Awards, Rose d'Or Awards, and GLAAD Media Awards. It was named one of the best TV shows of the year by Entertainment Weekly, The New Yorker, Time, The A.V. Club, and the Los Angeles Times.
Thomas also created and starred in Everything's Gonna Be Okay, available on Freeform, STAN (Australia), and ABC Spark (Canada), and hosts the weekly podcast Josh Thomas and Friends and You on YouTube and major podcast platforms.
After returning to stand-up in 2020 with his international tour Whoopsie Daisy, he is now premiering his new live show Jiggle Jiggle in Australia before bringing it to the US, Canada, UK, and Europe. More dates and details at comedy.com.au.
