Bill Bellamy

Bill Bellamy began doing stand-up while studying at Rutgers University, drawing on his experiences growing up in Newark. He built his skills at small comedy clubs across the country before making his mark at New York venues including The Improv and The Comic Strip, and at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.

His HBO DEF COMEDY JAM appearance brought him widespread recognition — including coining the phrase "Booty Call," which became the title of his first Showtime comedy special and one of the network's top-rated specials. That success led to a prominent role at MTV, where he was among the first VJs on the network, hosting programming blocks including MTV JAMS and MTV BEACH HOUSE and interviewing artists from Kurt Cobain to Janet Jackson. In 1996, he landed his own series, "The Billy Bellamy Show."

On the film side, Bellamy has starred in LOVE JONES, HOW TO BE A PLAYER, LOVE STINKS, THE BROTHERS, and ANY GIVEN SUNDAY. His television credits include recurring roles on Tyler Perry's MEET THE BROWNS (TBS) and guest appearances on CASTLE (ABC), ROYAL PAINS (USA), WHITE COLLAR (USA), and MURDER IN THE FIRST (TNT). He hosted four seasons of WHO'S GOT JOKES? on TV One and two seasons of NBC's Emmy-nominated LAST COMIC STANDING.

Bellamy's stand-up specials include CRAZY SEXY DIRTY (Showtime, May 2012) and LADIES NIGHT OUT (Showtime, February 2013), the latter accompanied by a nationwide tour also featuring comedians Ali Siddiq, J. Reid, and D'Lai. He co-starred with Shemar Moore and Nadine Velazquez in the 2016 romantic comedy THE BOUNCE BACK, and in 2017 joined the Tom Joyner Morning Show as a Wednesday co-host. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.

Venue policies: Thursday, Friday late, and Sunday shows are 18+; all other shows are 21+ unless otherwise stated. A two-drink minimum per person applies inside the showroom.
