From Policy to Practice: Implementing Effective Antibiotic Stewardship in Long Term Care is a one-hour online webinar taking place Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from Noon to 1:00 PM CDT. It is targeted at Long-Term Care Administrators, Registered Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants.

Presenters Juli Barksdale, MPH, CIC and Carla Smith, RN, AS-BC, IP-BC — both TMF Healthcare Quality Improvement Specialists — will cover what leads to antibiotic resistance and multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs), the essential components of an antibiotic stewardship program in long-term care, and how the QAPI process can improve and sustain an effective stewardship program.

Attendees may earn up to 1.0 continuing education (CE) credit. This activity has been accredited for 1.0 CE by The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, which is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
